CHILDREN AND YOUTH WILL RECEIVE EDUCATION

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen said:

“We will heal the wounds of our children and youth who have personally experienced, seen and felt the pain of the earthquake through education. We care that our children and young people can continue their education and get through these difficult days both in education and together with their peers. We will heal our wounds together, we will heal with solidarity. We are with the earthquake victims who came to Ankara as much as we help our citizens in our earthquake provinces. We made room for our children and youth in our service units. We took our young children to our kindergartens and playhouses. We included our middle and high school youth in our preparation courses for LGS-YKS. Every day, we take the hot lunch of our 835 earthquake survivor students from primary and secondary schools to their schools.”

Çankaya Municipality, which has shown an example of aid mobilization and solidarity since the first day of the earthquake, also extended a helping hand to 43 thousand earthquake victims who came to Ankara. While the clothing, food, cleaning and hygiene material needs of the earthquake victims were met in the Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Sports Hall and Ümitköy Service Building, humanitarian aid materials, 87 of which were trucks, were sent to the earthquake provinces.
