ÇANKAYA MUNICIPALITY EXTENDED A HELPING HAND TO 43 THOUSAND EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS CAME TO ANKARA

WE HEAL THE WOUNDS TOGETHER

 

Çankaya Municipality stood by thousands of earthquake victims in Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Sports Hall and Ümitköy Service Building. The primary needs of the earthquake victims who came to Ankara were met with the aid provided by the Çankaya Municipality.

 

Çankaya Municipality continues to heal the wounds of the earthquake that took place in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 and affected 10 provinces. In addition to the humanitarian aid sent to the earthquake region by 190 vehicles, 87 of which were trucks, the municipality stood by 43 thousand 167 earthquake victims who came to Ankara. Food, clothing, blankets, quilts, toys, books, cleaning and hygiene materials and baby-specific needs were met at the aid centers established in Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Sports Hall and Ümitköy Service Building.

 

CHILDREN ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

 

The great solidarity at Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Sports Hall was also shown for the earthquake victims who came to Ankara. Çankaya Municipality personnel and volunteers met the needs of earthquake victims in an orderly manner established in both centers as of February 9th. Children were not forgotten in the solidarity center. In the playground created for painting, chess and various activities, while the families met their needs, the children spent time with their peers in the company of volunteer trainers.

 

AID GATHERED UNDER ONE ROOF

 

Aid to be delivered to earthquake victims began to gather under one roof. The donations of the people of Çankaya and the people of the Capital are gathered in the BELKO Cold Storage of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, located at the address: Toptancı Hali Gazi Neighborhood Hipodrom Avenue. Ahmet Taner Kışlalı Sports Hall and Ümitköy Service Building completed their activities on a central basis. As of February 25, citizens can deliver their aid to ABB BELKO Cold Storage.
