ÇANKAYA WELCOMES DECEMBER WITH VARIOUS CULTURAL AND ART EVENTS

Çankaya, the heart of culture and art, welcomes December with 9 new exhibitions and 2 important film festivals. Bringing together the people of the capital with art, Çankaya's cultural centers will be the first address of art lovers in December.

 

Çankaya Municipality continues to be the center of Ankara with its cultural and art events. December is turning into a time to meet with art in the culture and arts venues of Çankaya Municipality, which continues to increase its support for art and artists. Çankaya, the heart of culture and art, welcomes December with 9 new exhibitions and 2 important film festivals. Bringing together the people of the capital with art, Çankaya's cultural centers will be the first address of art lovers in December.

 

FIRST EXHIBITION FROM TURAN EROL ART WORKSHOP

 

The first exhibition of December will be the “Başlangıç (The Beginning)” exhibition where the drawings made in a short time by the trainees of Çankaya Municipality Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center Turan Erol Art Workshop. The pencil drawing exhibition, which will start on 1 December, will remain open until 9 December.

 

HUNDREDS OF ARTISTS IN ONE EXHIBITION

 

In the first week of December, Çankaya Municipality will also host the 52nd Anniversary Great Exhibition of United Painters and Sculptors Association (BRHD). The exhibition, which will feature the works of more than 150 artists, will start on December 2 at Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center. The exhibition days, which will turn into a major art event, will be crowned with live performances by artists and culture-art panels. The exhibition, which will bring together dozens of events with art lovers, will be presented to art lovers every day until 18 December.

 

TWO FESTIVALS

 

Çankaya Municipality will host two important film festivals in December. Art lovers will first meet with the Festival on Wheels, which will be held for the 27th time this year. Organized by the Ankara Cinema Association, the 27th Festival on Wheels will screen the exciting local and foreign productions of the year in three cities under the titles Under Threat, Free World, Women Pioneers and Godard: On Love and Death, as well as classic sections such as World Cinema, Short is Good, Turkey 2022, Children's Films.

 

Right after the Festival on Wheels, the people of Çankaya will meet with short film days this time. AFSAD Short Film Festival, which will be held for the 6th time this year, will meet with the audience at Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center Sabahattin Ali Conference Hall on December 16-17-18. At the festival, the films that won the prize in the four categories of fiction, experimental, animation and documentary, which were produced for 2 years, will meet with art lovers.
