ÇANKAYA SAID 'NO' TO VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Çankaya Municipality, which is a role model with its efforts to ensure gender equality, hosted meaningful events throughout the week as part of the “25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”.

 

Çankaya Municipality, which sets an example for the whole of Turkey with its efforts to ensure gender equality, organized meaningful events throughout the week to celebrate the 25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The activities, which started with the play "States of Marriage" at Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center (DTÇSM) on November 21, continued with the screening of Töz Documentary on November 22, and the external voice play staged by Tiyatro Kinik.

 

GÜLSİN ONAY FASCINATED THE PARTICIPANTS

 

The events at DTÇSM, which hosts poetry recitals and film screenings, were crowned with the "Different Women, Different Experiences: Women Talking Violence" Panel on November 25. Journalist Özlem Gürses was the moderator of the panel, while Prof. Dr. Esin Davutoğlu Şenol, Theater Actress Betül Arım and Lawyer Feyza Altun took place as speakers. After the panel, Gülsin Onay, who gave concerts with important orchestras in her international music career spanning all over the world, fascinated the participants with her musical notes.

 

HOME EXHIBITION

 

As part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the exhibition " Evin Hatrı" also took place at İsmet İnönü Park on 26 November. The exhibition organized by Prof. Dr. Funda Şenol Cantek will continue to meet the people of Çankaya until 2 December.
