AN UNFORGETTABLE FESTIVAL EVENING BY ARTIST MELIKE DEMİRAĞ

 

Alper Taşdelen: “We are proud of all our artists who stand by democracy, human rights and Atatürk's enlightenment”

 

The Women's Handicraft Festival, realized by Çankaya Municipality to support women with income, met with the citizens of the Capital for the 5th time this year. The first day of the festival, which was held in Zafer Park and will last for three days, ended with the concert of the artist Melike Demirağ, who attended the festival.

 

The Çankaya Municipality Women's Handicraft Festival, which aims to provide income support to women, met with the citizens of the Capital for the 5th time this year. On the first day of the three-day festival held in Zafer Park, 250 women's handicraft products were presented to the people of the Capital. Melike Demirağ sang her songs together with the women at the festival, where

CHP Women's Branch Chairman Aylin Nazlıaka and Prof. Dr. Esin Davutoğlu Şenol were also participated.

 

Expressing that he is very happy to see the artist Ms. Demirağ in Ankara, Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen made a short speech to the citizens who came to the concert. Mr. Taşdelen said, “We are proud of you and all of our artists, like Melike Demirağ, who have always stand by Atatürk's enlightenment of democracy and human rights.” Artist Demirağ also stated that Çankaya is the stronghold of democracy and human rights, and said that he is happy to be in Çankaya.

 

THE AMBASSADORS SPOUSES ALSO VISITED THE FESTIVAL

 

While women contributed to their family budgets by selling their handicraft products in colourful stands, the residents of Capital Ankara showed great interest in the festival, which featured hundreds of products from designer jewellery to hand-knitted bags, knitted dolls and glasswork. The Ambassadors spouses of 9 countries were also among the guests on the first day of the festival. Ambassador wives, who visited the festival, chatted with women and shopped, showed special interest in hand-knitted clothes.

 

CONCERTS AND EVENTS

 

On the first day of the festival, the I-Pop Group took the stage first. The group, which sang beautiful songs for the visitors, received great applause from the audience. Continuing with the 'Zumba' show after the concert, the most beautiful event in the festival was the painting event with the theme "Istanbul Contract Keeps Alive". All the women participating in the festival painted the painting that "Istanbul Convention Keeps Alive" was written on.
