Çankaya Municipality continued its activities organized within the scope of 10-16 May World Disability Week with a kite festival. Kites took off to raise awareness at the event held in Ahlatlıbel Atatürk Park.

Çankaya Municipality organized a kite festival within the scope of the 10-16 May World Disability Week activities in order to draw attention to the problems of disabled citizens and to raise awareness.

Çankaya Municipality, which organized many different activities within the scope of the week, brought together many disabled and non-disabled individuals with the kite festival. In the event, which took place in a festive atmosphere in Ahlatlıbel Atatürk Park, the children had fun with puppet shows, balloon shows and different games.

Food was also served by the Çankaya Municipality. After their meals, the children happily ate their corn and cotton candy, and then flew the kites that were distributed to them. In the “Dance of Kites” festival, disabled and non-disabled individuals flew their kites to the sky in order to raise awareness in the society.
