Women learn how to make shoes, bags and wallets at the Leatherworking Course opened in Bademlidere Çankaya House. Çankaya Municipality Bademlidere Leather Workshop gave its first fruits at Çankaya House. The colorful handmade shoes, wallets and bags they produced changed the future plans of women.

Çankaya Houses, located in the neighborhoods of Çankaya Municipality, continue to organize courses in line with the demands. The women participating in the Leatherworking Course held at the Bademlidere Çankaya House also revive a craft that has sunk into oblivion, beyond learning a trade.

Çankaya Houses, where hobbies and vocational courses are organized by organizing courses in many fields from fine arts such as painting, sculpture, photography to foreign language programs such as English, German, Spanish, handicrafts such as amigurumi, knitting, clothing, jewelry design, mosaic, guitar, baglama and oud,  this time embarked on a work of reviving a profession that was sinking into oblivion. Leatherworking classes, which started in line with the incoming demands, also changed the future plans of the participating women. Bademlidere Çankaya House, which added Leatherworking courses to its vocational training program, enabled housewives to become active producers beyond contributing to the family budget.

Embracing work from the very first lessons, women have started to make sales plans in the process of acquiring a profession, which they started by producing shoes, bags and wallets for family members in the first place.
