THE JOURNALISTS FROM ANKARA CAME TOGETHER IN ÇANKAYA FOR THE WORLD WORKING JOURNALISTS DAY EVENT

The “Journalists Meeting”, jointly organized by the Çankaya Municipality and the Ankara Branch of the Contemporary Journalists Association (CGD), was held at the Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center. The meeting held before the January 10, World Working Journalists Day brought together journalists from Ankara of all ages.

Mentioning the importance of being together before January 10, World Working Journalists Day, ÇGD Ankara Branch President Çınar Özer said that they will overcome the problems in front of journalism with solidarity.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who chatted with communication faculty students and former colleagues at the Ankara Journalists Meeting, celebrated January 10, World Working Journalists Day.

In his speech, Mr. Taşdelen thanked ÇGD for bringing together journalists from Ankara in the New Year, and said that: “It has become very difficult to do many things in this country. However, journalism has really become much more difficult. As a former member of the press, I see that our country is thirsty for democracy and freedom. As in every dark morning, this country will overcome these difficulties. We will meet those days together, we will endure, we will stand together, and we will fight together.”
