THE LITTLE PRINCE EXHIBITION IS IN ÇANKAYA

Çankaya Municipality Zülfü Livaneli Cultural Center hosting “The Little Prince Books of the World” exhibition.

The exhibition includes numerous examples of The Little Prince, which has been translated into 488 different languages and dialects since its first English edition in 1943.

Organized with the cooperation of Çankaya Municipality and Eskişehir Little Prince Book Museum, the "Little Prince Books of the World" exhibition was opened at the Zülfü Livaneli Cultural Center.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery's most-published work, The Little Prince, and materials included in collections are featured in the exhibition, and a video work in which the 23rd chapter of the book is read in 22 different languages is shared with the audience. Curated by the founder of Eskişehir Little Prince Book Museum, Yıldıray Lise, collector Kazım İnal and Ankara University Faculty of Communication Lecturer Mehmet Sobacı, the exhibition also describes the process of publishing The Little Prince in Turkish and in different languages.

The exhibition hosts copies of The Little Prince, which has been translated into 488 different languages and dialects since its publication in 1943, in rare and extinct languages, as well as in the artificial languages of "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" created for the film industry.

The first English edition in 1943, the first edition in Turkish in 1953, the smallest print, the Braille print for the visually impaired, the mirror-readable Little Princes printed with mobile phone codes and Morse code, the exhibition includes Zülfü Livaneli Culture until  February 3, which can be seen in the Center.
