Çankaya Municipality is organizing an environmental event at the 1st class waste collection center located in Birlik Neighborhood on Sunday, November 28. In the event, all the recyclable wastes that will be brought to the center by the citizens will be collected and recycled within the scope of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR).

The activities within the scope of European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), of which Marmara Municipalities Union (MBB) is the Turkey Coordinator, are held with the theme of "Circular Communities" on 20-28 November 2021.

Çankaya Municipality also organizes an event within the scope of the week, which aims to raise awareness about waste prevention in Europe and to promote the implementation of awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management for a single week. The event will be held at the 1st class waste collection center located in Birlik Neighborhood Kahire Avenue No: 3 on Sunday, November 28.

RECYCLED GIFT TO CITIZENS WHO BRING WASTE

Notepads made of recycled materials will be given to citizens for all recyclable waste such as paper, plastic, metal, glass, textile waste, waste batteries, waste electrical and electronic equipment, waste medicines, vegetable waste oils and old tires to be brought to the center. In addition, brochures introducing the types of waste and where they can be disposed of will be distributed to the citizens during the event.

The event, which will be held under the name of "Regenerate waste, recycle", aims to increase the amount of collected waste, as well as to raise awareness about reuse, recycling and awareness-raising processes.
