THE “ÇANKAYA BECOMES A STAGE” EVENT BEGINS

ÇANKAYA SUPPORTS MUSIC LABORERS

The “Çankaya Becomes a Stage” event, which have been organized by Çankaya Municipality with the aim of providing financial support to musicians, begins. The first day activities will take place on June 7 at Kuğulu Park and Bahçelievler Eser Park at 15.00.

Çankaya Municipality, which has been supporting the theaters and music laborers that have not been able to work since last year due to the pandemic, continues to support musicians with a new event series. Çankaya Municipality, which has recently invited musicians who want to participate in the “Çankaya Becomes a Stage” event and opened its stage to 138 musicians, will start its first activities on June 7. The first day activities will start at 15.00 in Kuğulu Park and Bahçelievler Eser Park.

“WE WILL SUPPORT 400 MUSICIANS THIS SUMMER”

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who stated that they will continue to support art and artists under pandemic conditions said, “The pandemic process has affected a large part of the society economically and socially. Our musician friends are also having a hard time due to the pandemic. We, as the municipality, said 'Music is in Çankaya, the stage is the streets of Çankaya' and decided to organize mini-concerts in our parks in order to cure these difficulties a little bit. For now, 138 of our musician friends will give concerts in our parks until June 18, within the framework of the pandemic rules. We will provide financial support to 400 musicians in total at various events we will organize this summer. The way to overcome difficult days is through solidarity and being together.”
