FLOWERS ARE DISTRIBUTED TO CITIZENS WHO BRING WASTE IN ÇANKAYA

Çankaya Municipality bid farewell to the citizens who brought their recyclable wastes to the Waste Retrieval Center with flowers and books as part of the "June 5 World Environment Day" events.

Çankaya Municipality, which lists its environmental priority works one after another, welcomed the June 5 World Environment Day with an awareness-raising project. Çankaya residents, who brought their wastes to the 1st Class Waste Retrieval Center, which was put into service in the Birlik District a short time ago, were sent off with flowers this time.

Çankaya Municipality, which spreads its efforts to separate the waste at the source and recycle it throughout the district, contributes to the economy as well as protecting the environment and human health. The Municipality, which carried out an event that will raise awareness before the June 5 World Environment Day, presented the flowers it produced in its own greenhouses and the Nutuk (Atatürk’s Speech) and environment books series to the citizens who brought their wastes.

Citizens who brought paper, glass, plastic, metal, battery, textile wastes, electrical and electronic goods, waste medicines, vegetable waste oils, end-of-life tires and bulky wastes to the containers located in the center located next to the campus area of Birlik Neighbourhood Çankaya Municipality Directorate of Technical Works, expressed their satisfaction with the project.
