“THE TRACES FROM THE HISTORY” EXHIBITION IS AVALIABLE AT ZÜLFÜ LİVANELİ CULTURAL CENTER

Çankaya Municipality Zülfü Livaneli Culture Center hosts “The Traces from The History” exhibition composing of the artist Nurdan Bozkurt's ceramic works.

The retrospective exhibition named “The Traces from The History” presents a collection of works by artist Nurdan Bozkurt from the 1990s to the present day. The social events that the artist has witnessed throughout her life and the works that carry the traces of her life show a visual expression and provide a detailed look to the art.

The exhibition, curated by İpek Candaş Atay, consists of a fiction that is reminiscent of important social events such as the September 12 coup d'état, the Sivas Massacre, the Soma Mine Disaster, the Marmara Earthquake, and the works of the artist that reflect these events. The artist, who creates her art not only as an aesthetic practice but also with a social sensibility, offers a selection of suggestive questioning of the last fifty years of Turkey to its audience.

The exhibition, which also includes 10 works among them, can be seen in Zülfü Livaneli Cultural Center until October 30, 2018.
