Çankaya Municipality opens Erdal İnönü Swimming Pool and Water Sports Complex on September 8th.

Erdal İnönü Half Olympic Indoor Swimming Pool and Water Sports Complex, which was completed in Birlik Neighbourhood and carrying the feature as being the first swimming pool to be opened in Çankaya, opens on September 8^th.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen stated that they started to work by evaluating the requests from the citizens, and he said that “We started to work on projects in areas where we have determined in three important centers of our district; Birlik, Çiğdem and Karapınar. We are opening our swimming pool taking place in Lozanpark located in Birlik neighborhood with a water ballet show this weekend, which we named Erdal İnönü, who won our people’s hearts as an exemplary scientist and a respected politician. We will also open our another swimming pool in Çiğdem Neighbourhood, which will be completed this year in December in order to bring solution to Çankaya people’s swimming pool problem.”

SEMI-OLYMPIC SWIMMING POOL

Erdal İnönü semi-olympic indoor swimming pool and water sports complex, which was built on an area of 2 thousand 692 square meters, will be opened on September 8^th. There will also be yoga, pilates, aerobics and steppes areas for the Çankaya people within the complex that, which contains a 25-meter-long, six-lobed swimming pool in olympic standards and a 25-square-meter rehabilitation and recreational pool as well.
