Çankaya Municipality which enlarging its social aids with the projects such as Social Card and Health Card and with the iftar tents it sets up in five regions each year, will start distributing of 15 thousand food packages by August 1st, with a social democratic municipalism approach.

Çankaya Municipality is adding one more to its social democratic municipal services. As of August 1, the municipality will distribute food packages to families residing in Çankaya. Çankaya Municipality, which organizes various events such as open air cinema days, summer sports school and courses in Çankaya Houses to ensure those who cannot go out of Ankara for summer vacation. Moreover for those staying in Ankara, Çankaya Municipality provides cultural visits. Çankaya Municipality also continues to provide cash and public relief. Çankaya Social Card provides hundreds of families cash support, Health Card provides discounts of up to 50 percent in private health institutions and free circumcision in this context. In addition, offers opportunity to distribute food packages to 15 thousand families.

EQUAL SERVICE TO EVERYONE

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen noted that under current economic conditions the citizens experience difficulties and this situation should be supported leastwise. The food package includes pulses, flour, sugar, breakfast etc. covering basic necessities and those who want to take advantage should apply to Çankaya Municipality. Stating that they will distribute 3 thousand food package each month, Taşdelen said “Citizens wishing to benefit from this service are required to declare poverty certificate as well as residing in Çankaya. Our friends will meet some of their food needs, we are striving to reach the real needer of this package. We start this service which we received support from mukhtars by the beginning of August. As Çankaya Municipality, we provide equal service for citizens from every faith, and every thought.”

APPLICATIONS CAN BE MADE TO MUKHTARS AND ÇANKAYA MUNICIPALITY

Citizens who wish to benefit from the food package aid, can apply with poverty certificate to mukhtars or Social Card Office of Çankaya Public Health Center located at Mithatpaşa number 52.
