ÇANKAYA MUNICIPALITY HAS DISTRIBUTED MORE THAN 20 THOUSAND BOOKS ALL OVER TURKEY SO FAR THIS YEAR

Çankaya Municipality continues to send books to all over the country. Since the beginning of 2018, the municipality has sent more than 20 thousand books to many cities from Kars to Edirne and from Siirt to Çorum.

Çankaya Municipality, which gives priority to education among its services, continues to carry out many activities together from the books and stationary distribution to school renovations, and from literacy courses to library services.

Çankaya Municipality, which collects books donated by citizens and sends them to village schools, prisons and libraries, is mobilizing all its possibilities, when the subject comes to education. The books which are sorted according to their genre are sent to the institutions which are in demand.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen who emphasized that reading habit is a necessity, said that: "Reading a book is a useful habit to learn, to reduce stress, to improve memory, to improve vocabulary, and to provide analytical thinking skills. In addition to printing and distributing the Çankaya Children's Books series, we also take care to deliver books that will appeal to our people from all age groups in order for our children to gain reading habits at an early age. We send as much as possible to anyone who loves to read the books we donated in our possession and donated by our citizens, but who have difficulties in providing. We send books as much as possible to those who love to read but have difficulty in providing, that we provide on within the bounds of possibility of our municipality and donated by our citizens. We can support more people to read by distributing more books. I invite our citizens to be sensitive about this issue."

Alper Taşdelen who stated that Çankaya Municipality has experiencing the happiness of delivering more than 20 thousand books to various provinces, towns and villages in the first 6 months from the beginning of 2018, stated that they also add stationery sets especially when sending books to village schools.
