ÇANKAYA CELEBRATED THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY AT AHLATLIBEL ATATÜRK PARK

Çankaya Municipality celebrated June 5th World Environment Day. Children from various schools and Çankaya Municipal kindergartens started their activities at 11 o'clock which were also attended by their teachers.

Çankaya Deputy Mayor Anıl Sevinç, Charge d’affaires of Netherlands Embassy Erik Westsrate, and the Undersecretary of Brazil Embassy Miguel Griesbach de Pereira Franco participated to the activities with the children.

The event, which was contributed by European Union Delegation to Turkey's EU Information Center, Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts and Community Waste Management, and non-governmental organizations, started with the dance show of students from Çayyolu Final School. During the activities, which were coloured with the songs of the Provincial General Assembly Middle School music group, many activities such as dance shows, rock concerts, zumba were also performed.

CHILDREN PERCEIVED ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

Children who were given information about recycling, also received gifts such as origami, sculpture, cloth bags made from wastes, and Çanki Educational Set, which Çankaya Municipality gifted to children.

The children also examined the handcrafts made by artist Selda İleri from the glass and then visited the painting exhibit of Nesibe Aydın Primary School students.
