GARDENER CANDIDATES STARTED LESSONS

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen: "We do not make residences or shopping malls for the most valuable lands of our city. We build swimming pools, cultural centers, kindergartens, Çankaya Houses, social facilities on them. Because, those lands belong to our people."

 

The new semester of gardening education organized by Çankaya Municipality started with the participation of Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen.

 

"Gardening" classes held in Çankaya Municipality started with the participation of 315 trainees this year.

 

On the first day of the courses held at Yılmaz Güney Stage, Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen did not leave the trainees alone.

 

 

ALPERV TAŞDELEN: "480 THOUSAND SQUARE METERS GREEN AREA IN 4 YEARS"

 

Mr.Taşdelen, who stated that Çankaya Municipality who previously gave classes with Ankara University had come to the point where it could give classes alone this year and said, "We are implementing the biggest investment program of Çankaya Municipality history and we are carrying out projects at a metropolitan municipal scale. Our difference is that we do not make residence or shopping mall for the most valuable lands of our city. We build swimming pools, cultural centers, kindergartens, Çankaya Houses, social facilities on them. Because those lands belong to our people."

Taşdelen; "We brought 480 thousand square meters of new green area in the past 4 years. Our goal is to create a municipality where everybody calls my municipality. Because, Çankaya is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's district and we need to be worthy of him. "Taşdelen gave best wishes to the participants.

 

ALL DETAILS RELATED TO THE GARDEN WILL BE GIVEN

 

After Taşdelen’s speech, students started lesson. Zeynep Özen, Director of Parks and Gardens of Çankaya Municipality gave the first lesson in which the subject is "Small House Gardens Design Principles".

   

During the courses that citizens are free to use, the topics such as soil preparation, indoor plant production and care, rain water harvesting, beekeeping, natural vegetation, vertical horticulture, vegetable diseases and damages, fruit and rose pruning, fruit production and care,  fruit diseases and damages, seasonal, perennial plants and rose production and care will be taught. Trainees will also be able to practice what they have learned in Çansera, located in Uğur Mumcu Park. Trainees will be given attendance certificate with training to be completed on April 20.
