Aşık Veysel is one of the greatest minstrel of Turkey, commemorated in an event held in Çankaya Municipality Yılmaz Güney Stage with the coordination of AN-DER. Friends of Aşık Veysel who are poet and amorous, mentioned Aşık Veysel by  dirges, folk songs and poems in his 45^th death anniversary.

Haşimi Aslıhak who is the president of the Anatolian Folk Poets Cultural Solidarity and Fraternal Association, said that they wanted to live a life of peace, friendship, unity and solidarity by stating the unifying power of Aşık Veysel. In the event, the poets and amorous performed Veysel's folk songs and folk poems.
