CUBAN REVOLUTION'S 59TH YEAR IN CONTEMPORARY ARTS CENTER

The celebration of the 59th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution started with the opening ceremony held at the Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center. The "Liborio Noval Photography Exhibition" will remain open until January 16th.

The 59th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution was celebrated with the event held at the Contemporary Arts Center. Luis Alberto Amoros Nunez, Cuban Ambassador, Gülsün Bor Güner, Deputy Mayor of Çankaya, and a large number of Cuban and Turkish citizens participated in the event organized by the Cuban Embassy, Jose Marti Cuban Friendship Association and Çankaya Municipality.

CUBAN PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS PROTECT CASTRO’S LEGACY

 

Cuban Ambassador Luis Alberto Amoros Nunez, in his speech stressed the importance of the Cuban Revolution, thanked to Turkish authorities for supporting Cuba."The Cuban people will not give up their independence and will always protect Jose Marti and Fidel Castro's legacy," the Ambassador said. The ambassador indicated that the photograph exhibition conveyed Fidel Castro, the leader of the Cuban Revolution and his historical leadership through the eyes of the artists and thanked to Çankaya Municipality.

TURKEY AND CUBA ARE TWO CLOSE AND FRIENDLY COUNTRIES

 

Çankaya Municipality Deputy Mayor who gave speeches after Gözde Somel, Head of Jose Marti Cuban Friendship Association said that Fidel Castro’s dream of a more equal, free and happy future sheds light on labor and freedom struggles not only in Cuba, but also in various countries in the world today. Mrs. Güner added: “The "Cuban Revolution" is the struggle for independence and freedom against imperialism as Turkey's struggle and war of independence ... This is why, despite the geographical distance Turkey and Cuba are two close and friendly countries. Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK was a hope for the oppressed peoples with his values and political stance while creating a country in the struggle for independence and democracy. We know that The Cuban Revolution was also fed from these values, Mr. Fidel Castro's a great friend of Atatürk and Turkey.”

 

THE EXHIBITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL JANUARY 16

 

After the speeches, a song with its video clip in the memory of Fidel Castro, the architect of the Cuban Revolution was listened. “Liborio Noval Photography Exhibition” was later opened in the accompaniment of Cuban musicians. The exhibition which will remain open until January 16, expects Cuban friends and art lovers.
