THE TURKISH MINSTREL AND COMPOSER AŞIK MAHZUNI ŞERİF WAS COMMEMERATED IN ÇANKAYA

Çankaya Municipality commemerated Aşık Mahzuni Şerif in an event held on Şinasi Stage on his 77th birthday.

 

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen hosted the commemoration event where CHP General Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's wife Selvi Kılıçdaroğlu, Mahzuni Şerif's wife Fatma Mahzuni and his son Ali Mahzuni, TGNA Deputy Chairman Yaşar Tüzün, CHP Deputy Chairmen Engin Altay and Tekin Bingöl, CHP deputies and CHP Çankaya Municipal Members were attended.

 

CHP Deputy Chairman Tekin Bingöl said that Aşık Mahzuni is the Pir Sultan of our present time in his speech. Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen who emphasized that Çankaya Municipality is a municipality that is art and artist friendly in his speech also gave the good news that they have prepared to open the Atatürk Cultural Center, which will be Ankara's largest cultural and arts center following the Zülfü Livaneli Cultural Center which was constructed and opened quite a while ago.

 

The soloist Zeynep Halvaşi accompanied the orchestra led by Turkish Arrangement and Orchestra Conductor Ali Aykaç to PERFORM Mahsuni's six works. The entire hall accompanied the last song "Sarı Saçlım Mavi Gözlüm" with a great enthusiasm. After the concert, CHP Party Concil Member journalist-writer Ali Öztunç signed his book entitled "Devr-i Mahzuni".

 

The commemoration event to be held for the Turkish minstrel and composer Aşık Mahzuni Şerif will take place at Şinasi Stage on November 13th at 19.30. It will suffice to take place tickets from the ÇSM (Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center) by November 6th for those who want to participate in the concert to be performed by the soloist Zeynep Halvaşi under the direction of Turkish Arrangement and Orchestra Chief Ali Aykaç.
