ATHLETES OF ÇANKAYA GESK WILL REPRESENT TURKEY IN EUROPE

Seven of the 10 athletes of the National Team who will represent Turkey in the European Visually Impaired Football Championship are from Çankaya Municipality Visually Impaired Sports Club (Çankaya GESK). The championship will take place in Berlin, Germany from 17 to 27th of August.

 

Çankaya Municipality Visually Impaired Sports Club (Çankaya GESK) which won medals in Turkey, Europe and World championships and Olympics in weightlifting, athletics, football, goal ball and chess branches will be sending 7 of its athletes to 10-member National Team to European Visually Impaired Football Championship (B1- Fully Visually Impaired).

 

Yusuf Sayyıdan, president of the team, who said the majority of the Turkish National Team is consist of Çankaya GESK athletes and they are very proud of that added “I would like to thank the Mayor of Çankaya Municipality Alper Taşdelen for his support. Our athletes will return to our country with new success and we will be proud again.”

 

The name of seven Çankaya GESK athletes who will be in European Visually Impaired Football Championship are; Hasan Yıldırım, the coach of Turkish National Team and Çankaya GESK, Reşat Aykut Akyön and Doruk Gökmen Erkmen, goalkeepers, Emrah Öcal, Celal Çoban, Ercan Bayraktar, İbrahim Üzüm and Kahraman Gurbetoğlu, footballers.
