Çankaya Municipality is renovating “Anıtpark” which is one of Ankara’s most popular parks with its green texture and cultural an artistic activities.

Alper Taşdelen: “We are rearranging Anıtpark at the side of Anıtkabir in a way that is appropriate for its name and meaning without destructing the original and taking the necessary permits.”

Çankaya Municipality started the renovation process of Anıtpark. The park which is located near Anıtkabir and is a protected area will be renewed by taking permission from Supreme Board of Monuments.

THE PROJECT IS APPROVED BY PROTECTION COMMITTEE

Due to the fact that the park is located near our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s grave, Anıtkabir, the renovation process will be carried out within the framework of the project by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Structural material changes will not be made within the scope of the Works to be under control of Protection and Application Inspection Bureau (KUDEB) working under Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Development and Urban Planning Department.

Alper Taşdelen, mayor, who gives a special importance to the historical and natural wealth and stated that they always carried out their Works in this direction, said that Anıtpark, one of the most exclusive parks in Ankara, will be renovated with a special Project suitable for the texture of the park. Taşdelen added that Anıtkabir is not only the green texture but also hosts National Day Celebrations and said: “We celebrate the important and valuable national days in Anıtpark with various events and concerts. Anıtpark has a different meaning for us because it is located next to Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of Atatürk. It has worn out over the years. We are rearranging Anıtpark in a way that is appropriate for its name and meaning without destructing the original and taking the necessary permits.”

OPENING IS IN OCTOBER 29

Structural changes will not be made and will be carried out without destructing the original. Within this process, hard ground and infrastructure renovation work will be carried out. In addition to this, the renovation Project in which lighting poles and irrigation systems will also be renewed will be completed in October 29.
