ÇANKAYA HOUSES HOSTED 20 THOUSAND PEOPLE

20.238 people benefited from the Çankaya Houses which Çankaya Municipality provides vocational and personal development courses freely in the education period of 2016-2017.

 Alper Taşdelen: “Our target is to open five more Çankaya Houses and to serve at least 25 thousand citizens of Çankaya”.

 In the education period of 2016-2017, 14.555 adults, 5.683 children and in total 20.238 citizens have benefited from the 22 Çankaya Houses of the Çankaya Municipality which are in the regions such as Oran, Cebeci, Türkkonut, Bademlidere. 15.555 adult trainees participated to the handicrafts and hobby, personal development, foreign language, vocational and literacy courses in regard with their interest. Çankaya Public Education Center instructors gave lectures in the Çankaya Houses where the physical conditions of houses were improved and the number of houses was increased.

 ÇANKAYA IS WHEREEVER THE NEED IS

 Mayor of Çankaya Municipality Alper Taşdelen stated that the Çankaya Houses are serving to the citizens of Çankaya from aged 7 to 77 and he said “Our aim is that citizens of Çankaya should not be devoid of any kind of service. Regardless of wherever they are, wherever the need is we give our priority to that region and open the Çankaya Houses or continue to build. We are looking forward to open the Çankaya Houses in Oran, Yüzüncü Yıl, Bilkent and Mutlukent until the end of this year. We are planning to serve at least 25 thousand citizens of Çankaya with this new 5 Çankaya Houses that we will open”.

 STUDENTS WERE NOT FORGOTTEN

 In order to contribute their school lessons during their school year, 683 students benefited from courses such as Mathematics, English, Turkish and Science.

 5 THOUSAND CHILDREN WERE REACHED

 The children who participated in Çankaya Houses took lessons such as guitar, instrument, painting, rhythm and chess to discover their talents and area of interest; they also attended the activities of art workshops, nature camp, and science and school festivals.

 5 thousands children were reached throughout the year at the Çankaya Houses where with the participation of teenagers to international contests such as Lego Robot, graphic design for youth, charcoal.
