CERAMIC EXHIBITION WITH WISHES BY CHILDREN

“I WISH ATATURK TO COME BACK”

 

Çankaya Municipality Gallery Çankaya is hosting painting and ceramic exhibition where children convey their wishes by little notes. The exhibit will continue until June 21st.

 

The exhibition consisting of ceramics and paintings made by children who are continuing the Çankaya Municipality Study Centers was opened in Gallery Çankaya.

 

Group of children who are between the ages of 7-14 learned art movements, artists, painting techniques in the lessons throughout the year and they also made three dimensional designs with clay. Children had a chance to express themselves by the pieces they have made and they conveyed their wishes by little notes to the exhibit.

 

Children wrote some sentences such as “There should be flowers on earth”, “Let the earth be clean and beautiful”, “Let the earth be colorful” on earth model pieces. They also hung little notes on the board which has ceramic fishes such as “I wish Atatürk to come back”, “Chocolate flow from the waterfalls”, “I want to have a cat”, “I would like to see the far”.

 

THE FREEDOM OF IMAGINATION

 

Mayor of Çankaya Municipality Alper Taşdelen stated that the children who are having education in day care houses and study centers have made amazing pieces. He said “We show an approach that will bring creativity and talent of our children to the foreground in our training centers. Children demonstrate what they can achieve when they freely use their imagination in the exhibits. Their work of art surprises people and makes everyone happy. We are increasing the number of centers to provide education for more children. Children are our future and we will support them to educate in every way”.

 

The exhibit which creates an opportunity to observe the children’s imagination and talent will be open until June 21st.
