ÇANKAYA MUNICIPALITY WAS RANKED NUMBER ONE AGAIN

Çankaya Municipality was chosen as the most successful district municipality of Ankara in the fight against Corona.

Çankaya Municipality was chosen as the 1st in the fight against the corona with a rate of 72.8% according to the "Success Rates Survey of Provincial Mayors and District Mayors Outside of İstanbul" conducted by Sonar Research.

In the section of the research titled “Corona Period Success Rates of Ankara Metropolitan and District Mayors”, citizens were asked the question “When you think in general, is your district mayor successful or unsuccessful during the pandemic period”. 72.8% of the citizens answered "Successful" to this question for Çankaya Municipality.

The research, which aims to measure the success rates of municipal services especially during the coronavirus period, was carried out in 51 provinces and 137 districts outside İstanbul, based on TUIK (Turkish Statistical Institute) data in July and August.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who expressed his satisfaction with the results of the research said that:  “In difficult times, we provided 24-hour service for the health of our people and we will continue to do so. Our services will continue uninterruptedly due to our understanding of social municipalism. "Nobody is alone in Çankaya."

Reminding that citizens have disinfected common areas since the first period of the pandemic, Mr. Taşdelen added that they periodically sprayed parks, streets, streets, marketplaces, family health centers, taxi stands, pharmacies, schools and other public buildings in this process.

Alper Taşdelen, who emphasized that they were one of the first municipalities to initiate grocery and pharmacy shopping support for over 65 years old, and they continued to provide milk and food aid to citizens in need, while they also organized an online exam for young people preparing for the university exam, also explained that in order to keep the morale of the Çankaya people high, they also distributed books and flags to the children of flowers in this period.
