GERMAN DELEGATION VISITED ÇANKAYA WORKERS' LIBRARY

Çankaya Workers' Library, which was established by Çankaya Municipality sanitation workers by collecting the books that were originally destined to be put into garbage containers, hosted the delegation of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Department of Culture this time. The German Delegation made examinations in the library formed by the sanitation workers.

The delegation of Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Department of Culture visited Çankaya Workers' Library, which was established by Çankaya Municipality sanitation workers by collecting the books that were originally destined to be put into landfills. The library that Çankaya Municipality's sanitation workers created after carefully collecting and disinfecting the books left next to the garbage containers continues to attract attention. Visits continue to the library, which has more than 30 thousand books, together with donations.

The last visitors of the library became the President of the German Embassy Culture Department, Thomas Weich, and Sabrina Brockman, Nurcan Özköklü, Marlis Hey-Dinçer, who work for the department.

THE DELEGATION EXAMINED THE LIBRARY WITH A GREAT INTEREST

The Delegation examined the library with a great interest, which was echoed in the press in Turkey and in the world, which many countries shoot documentaries about and which was also included as a quiz question on a television channel in Germany.
