Çankaya Municipality started to produce masks that were made compulsory to use due to the coronavirus outbreak. The masks, which can be produced daily 2500 pieces, are given to the citizens who come to the municipality for their transactions and related procedures who do not have a mask and to the municipal staff.

Çankaya Municipality started to produce its own mask. The team consisting of 15 people working as trainers in Çankaya Houses courses produces 2 thousand 500 masks daily in the production line established in the Ümitköy Çankaya House. Masks prepared for the use of municipal personnel and citizens who come to the municipality for their procedures are produced in a completely hygienic environment. In Ümitköy Çankaya House, where masks are produced, regular disinfection is performed every day. In Çankaya House where temperature measurements of personnel are made at the first entrance, hourly production machines are also being wiped with soapy cloths, and all areas of use have been cleaning with disinfectant.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who stated that they have started to produce masks to meet the need in the use of masks, one of the primary measures of epidemic protection, said that: “We have determined our Ümitköy Çankaya House as a mask production location. Our personnel, who work as trainers in Çankaya Houses, started to make masks for the use of colleagues and citizens who came to our municipality and who did not have a mask. Our point shows that the obligation to use a mask will take a long time. We went to meet our own needs with our own means. Currently, we produce 2500 pieces per day. We do not take any of our citizens who come to our municipality for their transactions without a mask. If there is no mask, we give it. I would like to remind our citizens not to leave their homes unless they have to, and to obey the mask and social distance rule if they leave.”
