THE ANATOLIAN GOVERNMENT’S ANKARA EXHIBITION OPENED AT ÇSM

Çankaya Municipality, brought together the Anatolian Government’s Ankara exhibition, consisting of photographs and documents reflecting the spirit of National Struggle with the people of Ankara on 100th anniversary of Atatürk's arrival in Ankara with the people of Ankara.

The exhibition, which includes documents and photographs from the archive of Researcher and Collector Koray Özalp, will remain open to visitors until January 2nd, 2020.

Çankaya Municipality, brought together the Anatolian Government’s Ankara exhibition, consisting of photographs and documents reflecting some important events and developments that took place in the period from Mondros Armistice to the date of the proclamation of the Republic that are transferred to the future, with the people of Ankara.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen hosted the exhibition, which was opened at the Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center, where most of the visuals were exhibited for the first time. At the exhibition witnessing the process of the Republic of Turkey that formed from a Turkish state and how an ummah is gradually transformed into a nation by a great genius, Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the researcher and collector Koray Özalp's collection bearing witness to history.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who stated that he was honored to open the exhibition, which has a particular importance by coming across with the 100th anniversary of the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival in Ankara, said that: “This exhibition, this collection carries very valuable traces. Our history is here, the values that make us we are here, the Republic is here, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is here. Here brings us all the traces of how a country will rise and overthrow imperialism and create an independent country, an independent state and an independent nation. We will protect these values because we are Çankaya, because we are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal. Therefore, I would like to thank Koray Özalp for sharing this valuable collection with us”.

Koray Özalp, who contributed to the Anatolian Government Ankara exhibition with his collections, said that he was happy to exhibit the Anatolian Government’s Ankara exhibition, which consisted of works he consciously accumulated for years. Mr. Özalp, who thanked the Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen for contributing to the achievement of this work, presented a special badge to Mr. Taşdelen, including the Grand National Assembly in old writing and had a hearty portrait of Mustafa Kemal in the middle and Mr. Taşdelen said “I am proud to wear the badge of my grandfather Diyap Aga”.

Anatolian Government’s Ankara exhibition can be visited at Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center until January 2nd.
