Çankaya Municipality which produces projects with the of Social Municipality understanding blazed another trail. The protocol stipulating that the primary school students in Çankaya should take physical education classes in the municipality's swimming pool was signed.

Çankaya Municipality, which executes the best examples of the social municipalism understanding and put its signature under records with the projects it realizes, experienced the honor of breaking a new ground. The protocol stipulating that primary school students in Çankaya should do physical education lessons in the swimming pool of the municipality was signed in Çankaya Municipality Erdal İnönü Indoor Swimming Pool.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, Çankaya Mukhtar Hüdayar Mete Buhara, and Çankaya District National Education Deputy Director İrfan Yurtdoğan and many students participated the protocol signing ceremony, which was a first in Turkey.

Within the framework of the protocol covering elementary school 4th grade students, the students to be taken from their schools with the service vehicles of Çankaya Municipality will learn to swim with the help of expert instructors of the municipality during their physical education classes.

Çankaya Municipality, which continues to break new grounds with its projects and permanent works, offers children, guarantee of our future, the opportunity to swim within the scope of the protocol signed jointly with Çankaya District Governorate and Çankaya District National Directorate. Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen and Çankaya District National Education Deputy Director İrfan Yurtdoğan signed the protocol, which will start in November, will allow students from 4 primary schools around the Erdal İnönü Indoor Swimming Pool to enjoy swimming for 4 months.

Expressing the happiness of the joy of children, İrfan Yurtdoğan said that: “We have received the good news that the number of schools to be included in project will increase. I would like to thank the Çankaya Mayor and employees who gave us this opportunity on behalf of our National Education Community.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who spoke at the protocol signing ceremony of the project, where hundreds of students from each school will benefit from the swimming pool, said that:

“We came together for a nice event on a beautiful day. I think this project is a first in municipalities of Turkey. As Çankaya Municipality, our motto is; break new grounds break new records, do not break any hearts. It is very important to teach them to swim in the physical education class and to bring them together with swimming because not all of our children have the opportunity to learn swimming. Learning swimming at this age is a must. So this project is very important. Construction of our second swimming pool continues. I hope we will open it in May. In the new education period, our children will have the opportunity to make physical education classes both in Erdal İnönü Indoor Swimming Pool and in the new swimming pool in Çiğdem neighbourhood. This project is a first as being implemented in Çankaya and Turkey. So I thank everyone who contributed again. We love our children. We are realizing this in real real, not only in words. In the last period, we have realized the renovation almost all public schools in Çankaya as Çankaya Municipality. Currently both schools in Çankaya in Ankara in Turkey have reached the best level. We will continue to support education. We have alienated any regions. Our support to our schools will continue, the application will continue with many schools which was started with 4 schools.
