Çankaya Municipality Council approved the 2020 Fiscal Year Budget Draft. Çankaya's 2020 budget, which arranged according to the district’s population ratio, was determined as 1 billion 30 TL.

Çankaya Municipality Council, convened under the chairmanship of Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, approved the 2020 Fiscal Year Budget Draft. Çankaya's new budget was determined as 1 billion 30 million TL.

Following the vote of the budget, thanking the municipal council members, Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen started his speech with the words: "I wish mercy from Allah for all our soldiers and citizens who were martyred in the Operation of the Spring of Peace, I wish patience for their families.", also celebrated Ankara’s 96th anniversary of being declared as the Capital.

WE REALIZED THE BIGGEST INVESTMENTS IN A SINGLE PERIOD

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen, who wished that the new budget will be beneficial to Çankaya and Ankara, said that: “Since 2014 to the present, Çankaya Municipality is a municipality that has realized the biggest investments and the largest social facilities in a period. And we saw the result in the local election held 6 months ago. In 2014, Çankaya people approved our successful period by increasing our 64 percent of the votes which we received in the previous election to 74 percent. I would like to thank all Çankaya people again. We will continue being worthy of them”.

we fulfill our promises one after another

Mr. Taşdelen, who reminded that they fulfilled all their promises since since the day he took office, said that: “We started to fulfill our promises in the elections one after another. Yaşamkent Marketplace and Çiğdem Swimming Pool are under construction. We started the renovation works of the Kızılay Avenue quickly, we completed Sakarya Street and we are close to complete Tunalı and Selanik Avenues. The works in Yüksel Street and Konur and Karanfil Streets are continuing interruptedly. We will renew İzmir and Kumrular Street with our Metropolitan Municipality next year. We have been realizing social projects that are being exemplary to Turkey. We opened Justice Park, Ocean and Marine Parks. We put Nazım Hikmet Culture and Art Center into service. So we continued to work very quickly in this 6-month period”.

LET’S UNITE AND BE AN EXAMPLE IN THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL

Pointing out that Çankaya's biggest problem is the lack of service from the Metropolitan Municipality for 25 years, Mr. Taşdelen said that: “The most important reason why the slums remain in this way is the problem of zoning. When we brought up the problems of these places, we were faced with the commentary of The People's Alliance in the Metropolitan Assembly. But Çankaya belongs to all of us, the important thing to solve these problems unanimously. I hope we will solve all of these problems in 5 years. In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to be hand in hand with the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council. There is the majority of The People's Alliance (Turkish: Cumhur İttifakı). If we unite as the members of the council in Çankaya, their solution will be easier. I would like to ask you to better explain Çankaya to the Metropolitan Group and solve the problems hand in hand together. And in this way, we would give the good news to the neighborhoods by solving their problems by demonstrating an exemplary attitude”.

Mayor of Çankaya Alper Taşdelen wished that the new period budget would be beneficial and thanked the bureaucrats and municipal laborers, especially the members of the municipal council.
