The support given by Çankaya Municipality to education continues ever-increasingly. The Municipality, which has carried out extensive renovation works in public schools since Mayor Alper Taşdelen took office, installs speed breakers to the roads around the schools with the priority of students' safety.

Çankaya Municipality, which has gained the appreciation of citizens from all segments of life with its many works in the field of social municipalism, pays regard to being Turkey’s biggest municipality. Çankaya Municipality, which coordinates the comprehensive renovation works in schools located in the district boundaries in order to ensure good education for children, is also considering the safety of children. Çankaya Municipality is also sensitive about the security of students, which has renovated the internal and external facades of 218 schools since 2014. Placing a speed cutter on the roads around the school, the Municipality prevents the drivers from speeding on the way to the school and ensures that children can reach their schools safely.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen stated that they are working to improve the physical conditions of schools in order to ensure that children receive good education, although these works are not within their responsibility, said that: “In order to ensure that children receive education in better conditions, we have carried out various renovations on both the interior and exterior facades of 218 schools in our district. We have made the school gardens so that our children can play sports and play with pleasure. Safe transportation to schools and homes is also important to us. For this reason, our teams installs speed cutters around the schools to reduce the speed of vehicles. We do what we can for them, and we will continue to do so from now on as well”.
