Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen hosted Mustafa Damar, father of Ceren Damar Şenel, Research Assistant of Çankaya University Faculty of Law, who was murdered last January.

Father Damar thanked Mayor Taşdelen and said: “You were with us from the first day and you shared our pain. You gave her name to live in a park close to school and you gave us hope by stating that you were doing that in order to hand down Ceren’s smile to the next generations”. Mr. Damar presented a thank you plaque to Taşdelen for his contribution to the preservation of Ceren's memory.

Mr. Taşdelen, who consoled father Mustafa Damar, said, “It is our duty to not forget the dark mentality that massacred him, to tell about violence against women and to stand against the climate of violence. I once again commemorate Ceren with love and mercy”.
