FOREIGN NATIONAL CITIZENS LIVING IN ANKARA LEARNING TURKISH THANKS TO ÇANKAYA HOUSES

Foreign national citizens living in Ankara are learning Turkish in Çankaya Houses, that Çankaya Municipality put into service in various neighborhoods of the district in order to improve the knowledge and skills of citizens.

In addition to various courses providing in Çankaya Houses, where Çankaya Municipality provides services to citizens in various branches, foreign national citizens living in Ankara are given Turkish lessons in order to make their lives easier.

The trainees coming to Turkey for various reasons or that ought to come that ranging in age from 20 to 50 are taught the basic Turkish rules to reach the level of speech. 700 trainees who have participated in the trainings since 2015 have been awarded with certificates at Cebeci and Esat Çankaya House.

The trainees, who attending the courses given by retired Turkish Language and Literature teachers from Çankaya Public Education Center, learn Turkish thanks to 4-month period of training. Participants from many countries around the world that came to Ankara and meet in the Çankaya Houses to learn Turkish, which have been the address of the free courses that make their lives easier, thanking Çankay Mayor Alper Taşdelen for providing such a useful opportunity.

Stating that it is a necessity for foreigners who come to Turkey and Ankara for some reason to learn Turkish in order to sustain their lives, Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen said that: “We give Turkish lessons to people from different countries and cultures to make their lives easier. We are proud to realize one of the best examples of social municipalism.”
