Çankaya Municipality brought together 40 young people from 5 countries participating in the EU Youth Exchange Project entitled “Humanity is Our Common Gender” to draw attention to the equality between men and women at the Kuğulupark.

Within the scope of the “Humanity is our Common Gender” project, financing by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and EU Education and Youth Programs Center, and coordinated by the Movement for Youth Association, 40 young people from 5 countries gathered at the Kuğulupark to raise awareness on equality between women and men.

In addition to young people from Turkey, a total of 40 young people from Italy, Estonia, Armenia and Jordan participated the project. Within the scope of the project where young people made presentations, Turkey's gender equality issues were discussed. Following the workshops, where young people from each country expressed their opinions on equality between men and women, young people made hand prints on a large blank board with the Gender Equality logo within the scope of the activity, that participated by the young people and citizens to draw attention to equality between men and women.

The project, which aims to raise awareness of equality between women and men in order to increase the place of women in society, will last for 9 days.
