WINNERS OF THE ÇANKAYA MUNICIPALITY CHILDREN'S CHESS TOURNAMENT RECEIVED THEIR AWARDS

Çankaya Municipality Children's Chess Tournament, organized by Çankaya Municipality for the second time this year, was held on 13-14 April with the participation of 220 students.

Çankaya Municipality Children's Chess Tournament, organized by Çankaya Municipality for the second time this year ended with a great excitement. 21 tiny chess "master" received their awards in 21 categories from the hands of Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen in the tournament, where 220 students competed who received trainings in the courses in Çankaya Houses all over Çankaya.

Mayor Taşdelen, who came together with the students and parents at the award ceremony held after the tournament, stated that as Çankaya Municipality, they formed a pioneering and exemplary municipalism in every field of education. Mayor Taşdelen, who noted that Çankaya Municipality makes its presence felt in all areas of education, from kindergartens to Çankaya Houses, from the schools to cultural and sports centers, said that: “We are mostly the municipality of our children. We invest in our children, our future. Because we know that the people cannot be defeated who take Mustafa Kemal Atatürk as their guide, who make science and reasoning their guide.”

Mr. Taşdelen, who stated that they will continue to work for children in the new term, said that: “I congratulate everyone who competes in such a beautiful organization. The achievements of our children here are the first steps of the larger moments in their lives and the greater successes.”

Following his speech, Mr. Taşdelen, who gave the tablet to the first ranked tournament players, the chess team who took 2nd in the tournament, and headphones who took 3rd in the tournament, celebrated all the students, had plenty of souvenir photos taken with the students.
