ALPER TAŞDELEN: YOUTH IS OUR HOPE - 22.600 SQUARE METER YOUTH CENTER IN ÇANKAYA

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen came together with residents of the capital in Çayyolu, 100.Yıl and Seyranbağları. Mayor Taşdelen who came together with artisans and citizens in market-square, told his projects that have been done in 5 years and new projects he has been planning to carry into effect for the new term.

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen has been working on his new-term projects continuously before the local elections. On 17th of February, Sunday, during the openings of Election Communication Centres in Çayyolu, 100. Yıl, Seyranbağları, he met citizens and told his projects that have been done in 5 years and new projects he has been planning to carry into effect for the new term.

On Sunday, Mayor Taşdelen’s first stop was the event of ‘’Unity and Solidarity’’, held by Republican People’s Party District Presidency, in Konutkent, where more than 100 non-governmental organizations attended. Mayor Taşdelen made a speech during the event in which Mansur Yavaş, RPP Ankara Nominee for Mayorship of Metropolitan Municipality, also attended. Mayor Taşdelen stated that Çankaya is the citadel of labour, Republic and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and with this awareness, they will work continuously. Taşdelen, “As Nazım expressed, “our best days are the days we haven’t lived.” We will live those best days together by working hard. We will work without any stop and without getting tired. We kept our promise to Çankaya. We actualized Çankaya’s biggest lodgement program. In the second term, we will continue to accomplish greater works. I am not going to disappoint you” he said.

After the event, Mayor Taşdelen went to Çayyolu neighborhood and he brought Çayyolu Election Communication Centre into service. After the opening of the Centre, he visited janitor’s union Konut-Sen, shared his new-term projects with the head of unions. After the openings and visits in Konutkent and Çayyolu, Mayor Taşdelen moved to 100. Yıl and in the market square, he met artisans and residents of the capital. Mayor Taşdelen who listened to the wishes of the artisans, told his new-term projects and services that are about to be in service for the residents.

INTENSE ATTENTION IN SEYRANBAĞLARI AND ESAT

On Sunday, the last stop of Mayor Alper Taşdelen was Seyranbağları and Esat. Mayor Taşdelen who opened the Election Communication Center on Bağlar street, met hundreds of Çankaya residents in Özgürlük Square opposite of the centre. Mayor Taşdelen who shared his new-term projects with residents of Seyran and Esat stated that he was to bring a new city park in service with the standard and size of Atatürk Forest Farm in the neighborhoods of Badelimlidere and Kırıkkonaklar. Taşdelen who stated that they would continue to big investments, “Bademlidere City Park will be built with new features that it will be a new example in Turkey. The field which is 750.000 square meter and which has systems to protect current plants and animal habitat will become a huge city park. Ankara will have a new Atatürk Forest Farm”, he expressed.

ÜMİT (HOPE) YOUTH CENTRE

Taşdelen who stated that they were preparing new projects for youth continued with: “I always say. Municipalities must not build big shopping malls and must not run those malls. As Çankaya Municipality, we will transform the shopping mall in Maltepe into the youth centre. Youth is our hopes… That was why we named our new Youth Centre “Ümit” (hope). In order to create a new living space for youth, Ümit Youth Centre will be built in a field, sized 22.600 square meters and will be open 24/7. In the centre, there will be a library which has the capacity for 1.000 people, 4 movie theatres, theatre stage, vocational courses and workshops, cafeterias, playfields and art studio. We will work continuously for the youth.’’

WAR OF INDEPENDENCE MUSEUM

In his speech, Alper Taşdelen stated that they would bring in a new special museum in Çankaya’s new term. He gave a piece of good news: the establishment of “War of Independence Museum” in which Atatürk’s mastermind and leadership will be told with 3D visuals and special sound effects in Çankaya where Turkish Republic’s basis was constituted. After his speech, Taşdelen visited Esat Market Square near Özgürlük Square and met artisans and residents of Ankara in the new market square. Taşdelen who listened to the wishes of residents of Ankara, told his regional works to artisans and residents.
