ÇANKAYA MAYOR TAŞDELEN MET WITH THE PEOPLE AT THE KUĞULU PARK

Alper Taşdelen: "We will continue to work unceasingly and tirelessly "

Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen met with the Metropolitan people at the Kuğulu Park. Mr. Taşdelen told the Çankaya people about the works he has realized in 5 years and the projects to be realized in the new period.

The mayor gave the start of the new works of the new period before the local elections together with the hundreds of Metropolitan people at the event he organized at the Kuğulu Park. Mr. Taşdelen told the Çankaya people about the works he has realized in 5 years and the projects to be realized in the new period at the event that was also attended by Republican People's Party’s Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Candidate Mansur Yavaş.

"OUR BEST DAYS ARE THOSE THAT WE HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED YET"

Mr. Taşdelen, who stated that Çankaya is the fortress of labor, the Republic and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, expressed that they will continue to work more with this consciousness and said that: “As Nazım Hikmet says: ‘our best days are those that we haven't experienced yet’. We will experience those beautiful days together by working hard. We will continue to work tirelessly. We kept every word we gave to Çankaya. We realized the biggest investment program of Çankaya. In the second period, we will continue to do great works. I will not waste your trust in me”.

A NEW ATATÜRK FOREST FARM

Mayor Taşdelen shared the projects to be realized in the new period with Metropolitan people and said that they will bring a brand new urban park to the Çankaya district in the Bademlidere and Kırkkonaklar neighborhoods. Stating that they will continue to make huge investments in the new period, Mr Taşdelen said that: “We will built Bademlidere Urban Park as to be exemplarily in Turkey. We will turn the area of 750 thousand square meters into a green space with self-contained systems, low maintenance costs, ecological cycles, rainwater usage, ecological buildings, alternative energy sources, which will ensure the protection of existing plant and animal habitats. We will bring a new Atatürk Forest Farm to our city.”

A 24 HOUR-LIVING CENTER FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Alper tasdelen noted that they are preparing a brand new project for young people of the capital, and continued as followings: “I always say. Municipalities should not make shopping centers or run them. As Çankaya Municipality, we will transform the shopping center in Maltepe into a youth center in the new period. In order to create a new living space for young people, our Ümit Youth Center will be built on an area of 22 thousand 600 square meters. In the center, there will be a 24-hour open library, 4 cinema halls, theater stage, vocational courses workshops, cafeterias, sports fields and art workshops. We will continue to work non-stop for the younger generations."

KURTULUŞ SAVAŞI (TURKISH WAR OF INDEPENDENCE) MUSEUM

In his speech, Alper Taşdelen, who said that they will bring a special museum to Çankaya in the new period also gave the good news that; “Kurtuluş Savaşı” museum will be established in Çankaya, where the foundation of the Republic of Turkey was laid. The Turkish War of Independence Museum will reflect the independence struggle of the Turkish nation, and the genius and leadership of Atatürk in a versatile and effective way with 3D visual, sound and music effects.

“WE HAVE ONE AND ONLY WAY WHICH IS HARDWORKING”

Addressing the hundreds of Metropolitan people at the end of his speech, Mayor Taşdelen said that: “We have one and only way which is hardworking. We will work with the responsibility of the second period by taking much responsibility. We will believe in ourselves, believe in our heart, our wrist. We will not be afraid ... Those staying in the dark fear; we are light. Because, those who take strength from Nazım Hikmet, Uğur Mumcu, Muhammer Aksoy, Deniz Gezmiş, Mustafa Kemal are invincibles.

In this land, we will be the leaders of the struggle for democracy and freedom. In Çankaya, we will carry quality up. We performed a municipalism that no one can imagine. This is just the beginning; we will continue to struggle".
