Within the scope of the project initiated by Çankaya Municipality with the Healthy Life Center affiliated to Çankaya District Health Directorate, the women in Çankaya receive training on bowel cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer, and then undergo a free health screening.

All women who would like to participate in the rural neighborhoods affiliated to the district and from the neighborhoods located in the district center through mukhtars are taken to Çankaya Healthy Life Center which is affiliated to the District Health Directorate in order for free cancer screening.

At the center located in Dikmen, women are first informed by the experts about the causes and symptoms of cancer, methods of prevention from cancer and early diagnosis, breast cancer and breast self-examination, then they benefit from the free cancer screening.

Lastly, women from Çiğdem neighborhood attended to the training program, to which women from three rural neighborhoods attended in the first stage. Women aged between 30-69 years can also benefit from psychologists, dietitians and oral and dental health departments who wish to have health checks.

The application covering all neighborhoods of the district will continue until summer. Women who participate in health trainings and screenings benefit from all services free of charge. In addition, Çankaya Municipality brings back the women to their neighborhoods with take taken to the center with a special vehicle.
