Following the general decline in blood stocks in Turkey, Çankaya Municipality also supported the blood donation campaign initiated by the Ministry of Health. While Çankaya Municipality mobilizing blood donation, which has signed a social responsibility project with the Turkish Red Crescent, municipal employees and the citizens also lined up to give blood at the Blood Donation unit established in front of Ziya Gökalp Street.

Addressing the importance of donating blood, the authorities reminded that 1 blood donation saving 3 people's lives. The employees of Çankaya Municipality, who contributed to the mobilization initiated by the Turkish Red Crescent, which invited all people to give blood with the slogan “Blood Donation Saves Life”, had been an example. Citizens who filled the Blood Donation Form at the stands established in front of Çankaya Municipality which is one of the crowded spots, experienced the happiness of saving lives by making blood donation. The authorities, who added their words that citizens can get the necessary information about Blood Donation from Call Center 168 of Turkish Red Crescent.

Çankaya Municipality, which hosted the stem cells and blood donation campaign in Blood Donation Temporary Unit for 3 days, will continue to support the campaign carried out with Turkish Red Crescent in different periods.

Kızılay Central Anatolia Region Blood Center Director Murat Güler thanked Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen for his support during the campaign. Receiving the plaque of appreciation from Mr. Güler, Mr. Taşdelen expressed his gratitude to the Kızılay employees by expressing the happiness of being hope to people thanks to the campaign initiated with the slogan “Every Donation Saves Three Lives”.
