Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen met Barbers who are the members of Ankara Chamber of Barbers Tradesmen and Artisans in the breakfast.  The participation to the breakfast at the Vedat Dalokay Cocktail Hall was quite high.

After the breakfast, Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen made a short speech and said “The barbers take the pulse of a city. Your customers come to you both to have a therapy and to shave. Ankara is the center of Ahi Community, so Ankara’s craftsmen are different. The love of Hacı Bayram and the fighting spirit of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk have committed to this land. Thus, your presence is meaningful.”

Mr. Taşdelen also said “It is my primary duty to have your existence, to make you live and to eliminate your troubles. We will put an end to the low price labels pasted on the windows, we will not allow this cheap sense in Çankaya that makes you aggrieve.”

Mr. Taşdelen continued his speech as follows: “The day we are elected, we remove our party badge and we wear the Turkish Flag, because you are now the mayor of the whole city. We did our job with this understanding. We have given over 1 million people iftar in Ramadan tents in 4,5 years. We have renovated 218 public schools. We repaired our mosques. We paid the debt of 680 million TL before us, we never borrowed and we have implemented the biggest investment program in the history of Çankaya Municipality. They ask how we did it. We stood right and we won.”

Taşdelen reminded that The UN Human Development Foundation announced the most advanced cities in terms of Human Development Level and said Çankaya comes first in the ranking. He also emphasized that the first 10 municipalities are the CHP municipalities.

President of Ankara Chamber of Barbers, Sezayi Kara, wished success to Alper Taşdelen in his speech and said “We want to see him as our mayor again in this election”.
