Çankaya Municipality, Turkey's first local government with purple flag, has added a new one to its efforts to ensure gender equality. “The Entrepreneurial Women Project” will provide full support to women's participation in the workforce, which was signed between Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen and UR 2430.th Region Federation Term President Altan Arslan.

Çankaya Municipality, Turkey's first local government with purple flag, has added a new one to its efforts to ensure gender equality. “The Entrepreneurial Women Project” will provide full support to women's participation in the workforce, which was signed between Çankaya Mayor Alper Taşdelen and UR 2430.th Region Federation Term President Altan Arslan. Regarding the project signed in Çankaya Municipality Service Building, Mayor Alper Taşdelen said that: “It is very important for women to take part in employment, to be free and to exist in social life. I believe that these types of projects can prevent women to be second class citizens.”

THE PRODUCTS WILL OPEN TO ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

Among its partners include Başkent University, guiding entrepreneurial women with GIKA is intended to provide the necessary equipment. With this project, which aims to enable women to market their handicraft products across the country through the e-commerce site, it is aimed to support 1000 women.

SALES AND MARKETING TRAINING WILL BE PROVİDED

In the first stage, in which the women will take place, who have put their handicraft products on the market in Çankaya Municipality stands till now, the trainings will be given on entrepreneurship, use of digital technology, social media, sales and marketing techniques through e-commerce portal.

With the project to be carried out on issues such as brand creation, financial obligations and legal responsibilities in electronic commerce, credit and grant support facilities, the way for women to turn their labor-based capital into commercial profit will be opened.
