Çankaya Municipality opened “Kurtuluş (The War of Independence) Park” on the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s 79th death anniversary.

The "The War of Independence Park" which attracts attention with Atatürk Monument, Turkish flag and a ceremony area, is like an open-air museum that will convey the struggle for independence of Anatolia to the new generations.

Çankaya Municipality carried out a project that sheds light on the history on the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's 79th death anniversary. "The War of Independence Park", which describes the struggle for independence of our ancestors, was presented to the people in a magnificent ceremony.

THE WAR OF INDEPENCE THEMED PARK

The park, which welcomes visitors with its 320 square meter ceremony area at the main entrance, The walls surrounding the ceremony area visually present the visitors of the war of independence with reliefs. With Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's 5-meter monument sculpture and the Turkish flag, the park is almost like an open-air museum to tell the War of Independence to the new generations. The sculptor, Sait Rustem, presented the model of Atatürk’s monument’s statue as a gift to Taşdelen.

THE PARK CONSISTS OF FIELD-INTEGRATED DESIGNS

The park has a total area of 4 thousand 144 square meters and has a green area of 2 thousand 108 square meters. The War of Independence Park, decorated with about 2,000 plants and flowers, includes all the equipment, such as seating units and lighting elements. The park is located at the intersection of 2432th Street and 2679th Street in Çayyolu Neighborhood has children's playground and jogging path.
