KURTULUŞ SAVAŞI PARK

Çankaya Municipality has added a new one to its investments. The construction of the War of Independence Park has been started, which will have the feature of being an open-air museum conveying the liberation struggle to the new generations.

THE OPEN AIR MUSEUM FROM ÇANKAYA

Kurtuluş Savaşı Park which will draw attention with its ceremony area, the monument, the reliefs depicting the War of Independence and the Turkish Flag, will welcome its visitors with a 320 square meter ceremony area at its main entrance, while conveying the liberation struggle of Anatolia to the new generations. The park which has a total area of 4 thousand 144 square meters, has 2 thousand 108 square meters of green space.

Kurtuluş Savaşı Park will be adorned with nearly two thousand plants and flowers, and all its equipment such as seating units, and lighting elements will be made up of field-integrated designs. The walls surrounding the ceremonial area in the park which will also draw attention with its monument depicting the War of Independence, will visually present the memories of the war of independence to the visitors with the reliefs. The ceremony area which will be completed with the Turkish flag raised up to the flagpole, will have an appearance just like an open-air museum telling the War of Independence to the new generations.
