Mr. Nafiz Kaya was born in Ankara in 1971. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Economics of Gazi University in 1994.

He took his master degree on Theory of Economics from the Institute of Social Sciences of Gazi University. He wrote his thesis on "Energy Economy".

Mr. Nafiz Kaya worked as a journalist in various national newspapers and magazines between 1994 -2001. He started working as an "Expert" in the Energy Market Regulatory Authority in 2001. He worked for EMRA for 12 years and served as the "Press and Public Relations Consultant" lastly.

He has currently undertaking the duty of "Deputy Mayor of Çankaya" in charge of the Directorates of Cultural and Social Affairs, Social Welfare Affairs, Mukhtar Affairs, Support Services and Municipal Police Department.
